Have you ever thought of giving your bridesmaids, a pair of anklets or single as a gift to wear at your ceremony and wearing one yourself to match your personal jewelry?
In some cultures, the woman wearing anklets is a sign of prosperity. Anklets are one of the most important customs at the Indian and Middle Eastern wedding ceremony. I have seen many brides wearing beautiful designs in gold, silver, diamond, pearls and fresh flower creation. It seems like a part of the personal jewelry. I became aware of its significance when my cousin got married into a royal family, and her mother-in-law gave her real heavy gold antique anklets passed from one generation to another.
Anklets became popular in the United States in the 1950s and popularity continue to grow with a fashion statement to follow. I see many brides from all over the world wearing anklet on their wedding day. I suggested one of my brides into giving anklets as a gift to their bridesmaids so that all the bridesmaids wear something that complements your wedding day jewelry. This couple loved the idea, and I end up suggesting something for groomsmen as well that I would share with you all sometime next week.
What do you think of this unique bridesmaids gift idea? Did you do anything different for bridesmaid's gift at your wedding?
Love to hear what you have to say!
