I admit that Shakespeare's poetic versions have influenced me since my college days and the way he displayed love from different angles and related to life in general.
I saw Shakespeare as a literary artist who could paint on canvas through his writing defining love and relating to social issues at the same time. He stepped outside of the box in his times and introduced his self-invented words to express his feeling of love, hope, and compassion.
Love in Shakespeare seems to adjust and shift like water waves in the ocean from one era to another. I would say Shakespeare’s depiction of love is always true to nature and surroundings. There are so many quotes from his writings that became popular and inspired many like me to revisit the era from his times and fell in love with the fashion, fairytales, and life.
I have learned from William Shakespeare writings that nothing is there to stay, “ Time is very slow for those who wait. Very fast for those who are scared. Very long for those who lament. Very short for those who celebrate. But for those who love, time is eternal.” Shifting and readjusting your dream is something that is not in your control but a necessity as time moves giving you diverse experiences.
Shakespeare compassion and innocent depiction of love in his writings gave me an insight into dreaming with my brides leaving a part of myself aside and allowing myself to connect with their dreams to depict the love story bringing in all the elements of their lives_ a couple’s persona, their family, their friends, their traditions, and culture. Shakespeare in Romeo & Juliet, “ My bounty is as boundless as the sea, my love as deep; The more I give thee, the more I have, For both are Infinite.” And then Williams Shakespeare depicts something magical in romantic comedy known asA Midsummer Night’s Dream, “Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.”
Do you get inspired by writings of your favorite authors? Did any of that help you to follow you dream and let your imagination run wild at times?
Love to hear what you have to say!
